GUIDE

Alberta

Alberta has developed its own rules and regulations for legal cannabis in their province, contained in The Alberta Cannabis Framework, in addition to the federal cannabis legislation enacted under The Cannabis Act.

Alberta lawmakers enacted laws to ensure safe and responsible cannabis activities while also establishing a standard for delivering, acquiring, and consuming cannabis products. The Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission (AGLC) is in charge of overseeing legal cannabis distribution and packaging to ensure that only legal goods are supplied in Alberta.
